About Us

On January 22, 2008; the North Myrtle Beach Browns Backers were awarded the 463rd charter in the Browns Backers Worldwide network. Through the hard work of our officers: President-Thomas Lucas, Vice-President-John Gambrell, Social Director-Melissa Lucas, Location Liaison-Chris Mezenski and Member Liaison-Ron Grapatin, we have created home for Browns Fans who are too far from the Cleveland Browns Stadium to enjoy a game by the lake. Our club has found a home at Wild Wing Cafe in Barefoot Landing, where we are given our own “Dawg Pound” with a huge projection TV, house sound & halftime raffles. We gather at Wild Wing for every Browns game, some Buckeye, Indians & Cavs games and have a monthly “meet-up” on the first Thursday of every month. We use Wild Wing as a pre or post meeting place for several other “non-sports” related events as well.

Since its inception, the NMB Browns Backers have been able to raise $1000?s worth of donations for our charities. We’ve adopted a beach access, won the Worldwide Browns Backers’ Club of the Month in February 2010 and were in the final 5 clubs nominated for Club of the Year 2010.

We encourage all Browns fans, whether they live in the Grand Strand or are just vacationing here, to join our E-Mail & Text lists to keep up with the club’s activities. Membership into the club is very inexpensive with both individual ($20) and family ($30) packages available. All proceeds from memberships and raffles go into the club fund to pay for “Free Wing Days”, club expenses & charitable donations.
